Tucked away in scripture is a fascinating scripture that doesn’t get enough attention today. Paul writing to the Corinthians says this: “And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate[a] the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” But let’s be honest, why does the idea of being transformed into the image of Jesus fall flat for most of us? It’s probably not because Jesus isn’t good enough, and if we’re honest it’s not like you haven’t seriously tried loving Jesus and getting excited about God’s will in your life. Then why is there such a disconnect between ourselves and a true desire to love Jesus?
We would like to suggest that it might be because you have learned Jesus wrong. Our series, The Real Jesus, is about returning to the truth of who Jesus really is and the things that He did… correction the things that He still continues to do. If we are really going to find the life we were made for it begins with knowing and loving Jesus as He really is, not as the world portrays Him. And let us say..there are some pretty messed up representations of Jesus out there.
Join us on Sunday mornings as we take a deep dive into the heart, personality and love of Jesus.
